My neighbor has blown his leaves into my yard on several occasions while I am in my yard. The radio is constantly blaring and shaking my house. The sherrif will do nothing. I am seriously thinking of burning his house down. Any suggestions?

Sometimes you just have to act on your baser instincts. Yes.
Taunt this sorry sack of shit into attacking you, but be prepared.

It really isn't at all uncommon to have to deal with difficult people.
It IS worse to find them living next door than to simply have to shrug off some rude SOB at a retail counter somewhere, but here is the simple ritual :

Try to be friendly so the jerk will be off guard, <B>but document everything.</B> The best way to clobber this sort of bore is to hit them right in the wallet.

It's quite possible that Mr. Jerk will slack off if he feels he has gained the upper hand - most of the old peasant gene pool/dim mental awareness is still (hyper)active in 90% of the general population( - and it isn't getting any better - )so you will eventually find that you will have to have ammunition for your lawsuit. And, just as in any conflict, the more ammo you can stockpile the better off you will be. It might be years off - still - document, document, document.

<I>"The sherrif will do nothing."</I>

And probably won't until some kind of damage occurs that has some financial impact.

Are you on good terms with your homeowner's insurance agent? Sometimes they have some interesting insights to situations like you describe.

They is a big gap between arson and doing nothing, use your imagination and make a game of it.

A few suggestions:
1. Scoop up the leaves he blows in your yard and stick them in his mail box, strike a match...
2. Counter his music with some of your own. Buy some real crappy music, turn your speakers to face his house, blast it on high, go grocery shopping...enjoy the quiet in your car.
3. Buy a leaf blower and turn it into a game. He blows, you blow back. Laugh :Isn't this FUN?!!"
4. Rip the leaf blower out of his hands, shove it up his ass, turn switch on to "Suck" POOF! He's gone...! :o)

I have a nasty neighbor that blasted her radio (not a CD, just the radio, commercials and all!) all day and all hours of the night starting the day she moved into next door. I ended up moving from the Master Bedroom to another room to escape, but there was no escape. After a year of sleepless nights and very irritable days, I wrote a letter to the Sheriff's department begging for help. I was called by someone more intelligent that the brain-dead officers that normally respond to nuisance calls. I was informed that there is a noise ordinance in our city (Orlando, FL) and my neighbor could be fined for violating it. Is there a noise ordinance in your city?

I would go with the leaf blower up his ass idea,if he's gone he can't call the cops,if you burn down his house the Dirty Rat Bastard will be rid of the neighbor that he hates! (catch my drift?)
