When my previous neighbor moved out from the apartment next to me, it remained vacant for about a year or so. She was a nice lady though. Quiet for the most part... hardly knew she was around.

Then this new asshole neighbor from hell moves in. He (or she- haven't seem them yet) must work a late shift... they come in and it is just an avalanche of noise and disturbance until "it" finally goes to sleep. Blenders going, kitchen cabinets being slammed. Closet doors opening and slamming shut. Every foot step can be heard. Keep in mind these apartments aren't very big- approx. 709 sq. ft. I can't possibly imagine where all the walking is leading to. It literally sounds like a herd of elephants over there.

Now I have a dilemma. It's not my style to "rat" anyone out. I'd prefer not to bring in the landlord or go to the police. I believe in dealing with issues one-on-one. But the problem is that this issue has quickly escalated past mildly irritating to beyond infuriating. I have no desire to talk about this peacefully at this point. I have been able to refrain to this point from going over there because I know all I want to do is punch this inconsiderate asshole in the face.

Holy shit! Calm the hell down! This person probably doesn't even know that they are being so loud. Give him/her a chance! Put on your big girl panties act like an ADULT and go over with a freakin' smile on your face, introduce yourself, exchange some pleasent, benign conversation and tell your new neighbor how nice it was to meet him or her. The next time you hear some loud banging, slamming, etc, open your door and say "Hi, gee, it's late and these walls are so thin, do you think you could lower your t.v. or whatever noise your bithching about at the moment. You said it yourself, small place, thin walls - deal with it or move - but for the love of Mike, GROW UP!
