Making My Own Way

My father and mother were killed in a carjacking when I was 13 and I was sent to live with my mother's cousin two states away who took me in. She is a bookkeeper and a lesbian. I met her girlfriend, and all of sudden I had two moms. They were nice to me and were careful not to push their lifestyle on me. But they only socialized with other lesbian women, and I was the kid. At 16 I made friends with an 18 year old lesbian girl and she taught me how to be a lesbian.

With the money left to me by my parents I went to college. My high school girlfriend moved to the west coast and I had several girlfriends in college. After college my aunt told me that I needed to think about meeting a boy, my patents would have wanted me to have children. They asked around among friends and introduced me to several boys, all college graduates. The man I ended up with was a divorced older man who knew how to talk to me.

I did what my aunt told me, I got pregnant and had two kids. By that time I had a reputation for being a Daddy's girl. But my high school girlfriend returned and we became a thing again. My husband agreed to continue to support me if I stayed home to raise my kids. He did not want that for me, but he didn't stop me. After a while I knew I had to suck it up and live with my husband as man and wife, I had my kids and they needed to live as a family with their father.

I miss my parents, I wish they could have known their grandkids, met my husband. My aunt supports my decision to stay straight.

I meant to confess that I became lesbian after they died and my parents would never have accepted that. But I think that having two kids is something they wanted for me. I think every mother must want her daughters to be mothers. That's how I feel about my daughter and she's three.

You are very lucky C.C. to have a lesbian friend and also a family, thereby you have experienced nearly the whole range of sexuality. The friend teaching you how to be a lesbian and you marrying a man proves this point.
However, why did you end up with a much older man? Was he your choice ( he knew how to talk to you) or you had none and decided uoon a much settled( financially) divorced man?

I feel sad about you losing both your parents at a very tender age.Life really can be steange.
Best luck.
