I hate my neighbor! My neighbor is a co-worker of my husband so it is very hard to confront him on things. Whatever we do is wrong or stupid and we hear his comments about us at work! We never say anything about him at work! His house is so much better, he did this to his house and it's better... he makes it like it's some kinda of competition. One up everybody attitude.
1. his house is to close to the property line-the builders tried telling him!
2. We asked to help split the cost for a wall between the houses, he said no he didn't have the money. Really-I have seen landscaping go in, big screen TV's, new furniture, new car Meanwhile we had to settle for a plain fence- I didn't want that. On top of it he had the nerve to ask us later to split the cost of a wall in the back!!!!
3. The wall he built out back-guess what it goes over the property line!!
4. His central vac is loud!!!!! He put the vent facing our living room-he did that on purpose! Guess what buddy I am putting one in just to piss you off!
5. His dog runs lose all the time and shits on my front yard and driveway They don't bother to pick it up!!!
6. His friends have backed into my mailbox and didn't fix it! Didn't even say sorry!
7. Borrows my husbands tools without asking!
My husband has been nice and helped him on projects and not once has he ever offered any help.I told him to quit helping him, he is an ungrateful arrogant ass!
I hate him!!!

I would see if one your husband can change jobs.

If not, you want to see if you go through channels and see if he is doing anything against the company rules. I would think bad mouthing one coworker to another may very well be.

I would talk to a lawyer about the property lined fence. He may have take what he has up and he might have to pay you.

Now if you were really nasty I would leave something for the dog to eat in my yard. Not in dog food bowl but something you dropped.

I would also consider documenting the dog pooh. I bet he is responsible for it legally.

At the very least gather it and keep it. Place in a large plastic bin and when it full return it. Of course not in the nice container.

First off, dont feed the dog in your yard or conviently leave anything poisonous outside...It's not the dogs fault he is an asshole. Not to mention you are asking for a lawsuit by doing that. Open your mouth and say something or leave a unsigned letter and a pooper picker upper at his doorway and say the neighbors are tired of stepping in his dogs shit. Another way you can go is calling the dog catcher...if he loves his dog it might fix his ass!
Now, as far as the property line is concerned...there are state and city guidlines that tell you how far from the property line your "buildings" needs to be. Wouldn't it be a bitch if he had to tear down and rebuild his addition. I know where I live it is ten feet. I would go to your local city hall and inquire. The fence on your side of the property needs to be moved. From what I understand some citys give you a certain amount of time to have that fixed. If they are taking care of the property for say ten years your city may not intervene to rectify the problem. Get this fixed as soon as possible. I would find out what your rights are then gently tell him that you found out the guidelines. If he runs his mouth at work after that your husband needs to confront him and/or talk to a supervisor to have it straigtened out. If all else fails put your house up for sale...Depending on where you live the market is pretty good and you might get more than enough to buy a better house.
