I hate the stupid bitch that lives below me! She's one of those people that thrive on drama. Where she lives such a sad and depressing life that she has to make everyone else's lives miserable also. She bangs on her ceiling at us all the time. We'll be talking, and I am serious when I say just talking with normal "indoor" voices, and she'll start banging onher ceiling at us. We cant listen to music AT ALL because she complains so much. I have a file, yes a file, of threatening letters she has sent us. We even almost got kicked out, becuase I was so tired of her banging at us, that i stomped on the floor at her. Well supposedly (I dont believe it) her light fell off the ceiling. And to make things worse, the apartment mangers don't do anything! They just tell us that they know she's crazy, but they let her keep harrassing us. Its ridiculous! Even the last people who lived here moved out because of her. She must know that its easier to blame someone for being loud than it is for us to prove that we're not. Hell we hear the people upstairs being loud and the people across the way having parties, yet we cant even fucking talk in our own apartment! So like, I said, I really do hope the cancer kills her...slowly and painfully. Anyway, I know my bitchy neighbor isn't as bad as some of the other posts, but it makes me feel a little better to know I'm not alone out there. You guys hate your neighbors just as much as I do! Here's to all of us getting revenge! Oh and yes, I will slash her tires when we leave...

Sounds like a bad situation---probably only solution is to find a better place to live. The management of the place you are in will have a tough time keeping tenants if they let this lowlife drama-drag queen keep running her show.

You better watch what you hope for?

Three of my grandparents died from cancer, one very recently. I wouldn't hope that pain and suffering on anyone. I think that it is pretty bad that you have to deal with the whole situation of her being a lunatic. We have had some crazy neighbors ourselves. Ones that blasted music, stomped on the floor, let their dog shit all over our side of the yard, was caught staring into our windows at us among many other countless offenses. The husband that lived above before we moved has cancer in his kidneys and liver. Even though they are crazy, arrogant and smelly, we still hope that he recovers. We never had the luxury of complaining because the house was owned by one of their family members. Just do what we did and better yourselves by finding another place to live. You will be much happier. Also, if you find yourself complaining then or finding yourself being complained about maybe it is you that has the real problem. Hopefully, noone in your family will ever have to suffer with cancer...and I hope you think about what you wish for, because someday you might get it.

Sounds strangely familiar to the movie "Duplex"! Ever seen it? Drew Barrymore, Ben Stiller buy this place with a supposedly sweet old lady who lives above. Come to find out, she's a sneaky, horrible woman who LOVES to create stress and bs for her "neighbors" below! If you've not seen it yet, rent it! I cannot even imagine living how you've been forced to live with her downstairs, I'd move out like the family before you! Best of luck- We absolutely hate ours too!

I'm sorry, but I completely agree, the world would be better off if she were dead I'm sure, as is the case with my 80 y/o pain in the ass neighbor who once woke me up at 5:30 in the morning by yelling in the hallway to turn up the heat which we control and which is already up way past room temperature. Every day for 4 months I would wake up hoping she died in wretched pain during the night. Some people just deserve it.

Stand your ground. Videotape her doing this and then have a meeting with the landlords, show them the tape. They can't argue with evidence.
