I live veeeery close to my neighbors. I am a single mother working and going school. I like my apartment and I can't afford to leave anyway. The problem is, about a year and a half now my neighbor's son who is now a teenager, plays music everyday! especially now its summer. What's bothering me is the base. Sometimes I can't hear the rest of the music like the words to say but the base has become a daily annoyance for me. Due to the location of my bedroom, when this little jerk cranks up, the music travels toward my bedroom direction, It wakes me up. When I try to sleep I can't because I hear the "booms" between sleep and wake it almost drives me insane. These past months I have complained a lot, I have called him up and ask him kindly to turn down his base so that I can get some rest, he acts very understanding about it and says ok, but I don't hear any difference after!!! I think he and his mother is very spiteful about it now. I also suffer from fatigue and headaches due to work related stress. I loved being "home" it was like a tranquil get-away from my job. Now I sometimes feel like crying, everytime I get home anticipating rest and this little jerk is blasting. I really get ticked off when I think the coast is clear for some rest and then.... you know what happens just as I am about to dose. The neighborhood was never really like this before this prick reached adolescence. I really lost it one early 7:48 am on a Sunday, the little idiot started. I called the landlord and I demanded again she speaks to the Mother.(when ever the mother comes home). The Mother is such a bi*** she feels she is paying her rent, blah blah. But since I was on vacation this week and home during the days, I realized when the mother comes home from her shifts she makes the little jerk turn OFF the music so I guess she can get her rest AT THAT TIME. So f**king unfair!!!!
Well :) her bedroom is very close to mine as well, so I cranked my radio (which I don't ever use, due to my computer taking over my life) and put my speakers to face her bedroom window. Even a passing out drunk won't get any sleep in that racket.
I know she was very upset, I did feel better that day, but I know that won't last I am now back to the regular schedule. I really don't know what to do at this point, am I being too sensitive to the noise or is there others that feel the same way I do about this neighbor noise situation? Some people are lucky noise don't bother them and may feel in life we would have to live with noise. I feel if people who want to make noise should be considerate of others and perhaps move in a secluded place where they can't victimize others who would like to have tranquil peace. Any suggestions? Forget the Landlord she thinks I'm unrealistic and she don't want to loose a tenant.
