I read some of the confessions and comments on this site that were posted a couple of years ago. Someone had the interesting viewpoint that people are of different classes. I think the person who posted this was a man so I'll call him "he"... anyway, he said that the upper and lower classes don't mix because the lower classes can't help but drag down everyone else around them. He said that they didn't care if the neighborhood had trash, noise, loud kids, etc. and that if you wanted to live in a decent neighborhood where there were no problems, to get rich and move to one where the houses were $1 million. Later, he changed it to 2 million.
Well... as interesting as that philosophy was, I have to disagree with at least this point: Even the more expensive neighborhoods have their idiot neighbors that think that they can do anything they want, and to h*ll with everyone else. We live in a neighborhood that has houses up to the $5 millions... not ours, but some. One of the neighbors living in a more expensive house is a doctor who is as arrogant of a bastard that you'll ever meet. In fact, he's a surgeon so he thinks he's God. No one likes him, and he's ruining the neighborhood by his criminal activities. I won't elaborate about what they are, since the point I'm trying to make is that even though people have power, money and position, they can still be swine. In fact, the only pig I've ever seen had a much better personality than this @sshole.
I do agree with the previous poster that when you throw people together in one neighborhood, there will be people who don't mind dragging down everyone else for their own selfish reasons.

Boy you have got that right about money not predicting who will be a white trash asshole neighbor. I live in an affluent Connecticut neighborhood in the northeast corner. All around me are big houses with suv's parked in the driveways. The kids all wear expensive clothing and the mommies all spend their days not working and gossiping because their husbands support them. Yet I dare you to step in and look behind closed doors at what they are really all like. Drunken, pill popping, cheating unhappy losers the whole lot. They live like pigs on the inside of their homes and spend their days living in the pathetic drama's they create! They are nosy and gossipy and miserable. Money does NOT dictate that you will be better people to live near, quite the opposite in fact. I find that its the working class farm families that are way more friendly and honest. They are the neighbors you can count on if you need help or just to be a good friend.

not only statistically but , also generally that the majority of wealthy people in so called "upper class" neighborhoods are the ones that not only perpertrate the majority of crimes within both respective areas but also generate the most trouble ! Only difference is that they are wealthy enough -

to hire a good lawyer to get them "off the hook" & enough to persuade people in power & in general to "sweep" their dirty little indescrepencies under the rug .. & if anything half these evil bastards are the ones bringing the real "trash" back to their own areas & dragging their own communities -

down with them also - i mean you only also have to look at people like the person that posted that remark & also their "snide nothing better to do than sit around & bitch about people all day wives" also to know who are the ones that drag people down including the poor & working class in general ..

"class" has or area nor wealth has nothing to do with how decent a person was brought up or their own personal morals .. Obviously class also has clearly eluded the naive moron who posted that comment you were referring to no doubt also .. Point proven !
