An Unexpected Reception

24 hours, it started one evening when I got off the train from the airport to downtown Oslo. The girl I asked for directions to the hotel offered to guide me the three blocks. We walked side by side and talked a bit. She was in Oslo at the conservatory, she played bassoon. Once I got booked at the hotel she walked up the three flights with me to my small room. As I unpacked and changed she sat on the bed talking up a storm. I asked if she would join me for dinner.

She was a talker, originally from the Ukraine, lived for a while in Berlin. At no point did I get the feeling she was hustling me, she was just gregarious and talkative, and was ok with me putting my arm around her shoulder. She told me she shared a small efficiency with a girl from Somalia. When I asked if she wanted to join me overnight, she was all for it.

Uninhibited in sex, that's really what it was. Totally uninhibited. Sex was normal, nothing weird. She slept in my arms, was open to morning sex. We had breakfast, she showed me her tiny apartment, she hung with me and walked me around downtown. At the office building where I had meetings Monday morning she said she had to go, thanked me for dinner and just like that she was gone.
