For the past two years I have been very happy in my home. I live in a townhouse, which is located in a fairly nice complex. The building is constructed in such a way that I rarely hear my neighbors. I've had neighbors who partied, I never heard them. I've had neighbors with rowdy kids, I never heard them.

But now woofer guy has moved in. When the outrageously loud music started I complained to management. They draw a pretty hard line on that stuff, and they were successful in getting the guy to turn the volume down.

Here is the problem: Yes, he does keep it to a reasonable volume now. But I can still hear/feel that bass. He plays it all the time, and there is a constant vibration in my home. A constant VWOOM VWOOM VWOOM. I don't hear the damn music, just the reverberation of the bass.

Hey, it may not sound like much, but it is Chinese water torture. I used to enjoy coming home from a stressful day at work, and enjoying a good book or movie. A quiet dinner. Now I dread my own home.

Should I complain again? The damn music isn't loud. What the hell is it with his speakers? I can actually feel the vibration on the wall. jesus h christ

heeeeellllllppppp...

Call the management and thank them for helping you with the problem in the past. Tell them that it's much better, but that you can still hear/feel the sub-woofer. Say the person probably doesn't know that they are bothering you. Invite the management and/or the woofer-man to your place to actually experience what you are hearing/feeling. You can even make some sort of concession of "I don't mind it if he plays it from 9 AM to 6 PM" or whatever you think you can live with. Do you have any other neighbors that are affected? If so, see if you can get them to say a few words about it to management, or write a brief note on your behalf.
Point out to the management that you enjoy where you live and that the music is the only thing that's unpleasant. I'm sure if you act diplomatically and are somewhat flexible, they can help you again. A good indication is that they interceded for you already.
Good luck!

Most people who have woofers like rap or hard rock. Next time turn on country western as loud as you can. Or tell him you are going to.
