Unexpected Side Hustle

Back when I was a flight attendant I got a chance to work the Calgary New York run. We were housed at the Marriott on Times Square. My first time in New York I decided to use my time to see some of the sites. The Empire State building, and the skating rink at Rockefeller Center. I walked around, found a place to stand and watch.

A man walked up and asked "Johann?" Why, yes. I thought I would play along. He looked me over, head to toe. "Do you have a room?", Why yes. Still playing along. "Let's go, $250 right?" Why, yes. That was more than I took home in a week. Now I was really playing along. We walked to the hotel, romped in bed, passed the afternoon.

"You aren't Johann, are you?". Why, no. No need then to play along. He left me five crisp $50 dollar bills. That was real money Canadian.

My one time in New York.
