It Must Be Hard Wired Or Subconscious

After several months of dating and intimacies he suggested marriage. During the discussions he brought up what he liked about me. Compliant and obedient.

I never thought of myself like that. When we got our marriage vows, mine included 'promise to obey', a from earlier times set of vows. After the marriage, from time to time, he would observe that I was obedient while my sister wasn't.

It must be subconscious, I want him to rely on me. I don't think I'm disobedient, but does that make me obedient?
