You actually smear feces on her doorknob? How old are you? What if one of her children touches it and gets sick?
it sounds like she has major problems. Just ignore her if she doesn't want to talk to you. She probably knows she's the subject of gossip and is ashamed and/or angry. What many people see as snobishness is actually shyness or social awkwardness. I doubt she thinks she's better than you. She probably has a tough time just getting through the day.
Wave to her kids. Say hi to her boyfriend and leave the woman alone.
If you don't want her planting flowers on your property, tell her or tell the boyfriend. Then get on with your life and stop obsessing about your neighbor.
First make sure that your property line is correct and you know where the boundaries are. You can put in stakes along the boundary line, and tie a string between them, further delineating the line. Then send her a receipt return mail saying that you have marked your property line, and that perhaps she's mistaken, but she is currently planting things in your yard. The return receipt mail is important if this ultimately ends up in court, in the event she contests your assertion. In the mail, ask her politely to remove the plant material that she has mistakenly put in. Give her a decent time limit, such as 30 days.
If you do not claim your property, there is a law that is basically "possession is 9/10ths of the law" and in some areas allows people to annex your property to theirs. Do NOT let her continue to use your property, because she might be able to contend that over a number of years, she has done so and now she has rights to YOUR property.
I know that you object to putting up a fence, but I suspect that they neighbor is in no mind to do so at her own expense. In my experience, good fences make better, if not "good" neighbors. Some can enhance your property and most eliminate that pesky neighbor encroachment problem.
The dogs should be controlled. Call the local animal services. Capture them and hold them for the officers to arrive. Then point out who they belong to. The neighbor will get an annoying fine. Dogs can get hurt if left to roam.
She doesn't sound overtly hostile, which seems to be the problem with a lot of people who post here. I have one neighbor who assaulted me, so I have seen some of the worst that can happen. Yours sounds mentally deficient or has substance abuse. Either can be problematic.
Good luck! Post again and let us know how it works out!
Second on putting up a fence. I didn't want to, but the best thing we ever did was paying for a fence between us and the neighbor from hell behind us. She's a divorced pos, and the first thing her out of control little bastard kids did was kick their soccer balls at, climb on, and karate chop the fence.
With their mom's encouragement, of course.A call to the police put a stop to THAT shit right quick.
We have had much less trouble from her and her kids. Trouble was, she divorced her husband(s) and now had no one to fight with, so she fought with us. She's the type who loves drama, and couldn't get enough. We also started growing ivy on the fence, which helps to block out the sound. Bitch neighbor is livid. So yeah, a fence is a great idea.
I never really put feces on the doorknobs. I really wanted to though...all else is true. Her 5 year old son taught my 3 year old the f-word. I was really annoyed the night that I originally posted. But you know how everything works out in the end?...THEY LOST THEIR HOUSE AND THERE IS NO ONE LIVING THERE ANYMORE!!
