Be thankful that they are like that and you are not, your sole purpose in life right now is to think good of you and your family.Forget about them.Live and let live.Go about your life as if they are non-existent.Don't let yourself be hurt by them.Be better than them.A change is as good as a rest, perhaps you and/or your family can take an away from home class, learn a new hobby, some kind of change from your regular routine. If you must continue living next to them keep a journal of the activities that are unacceptable behaviors. You be the good citizen, grow with your community, helping where you can. These neibours of yours aren't likely to last a long time. That type usually crashes and burns out.If they have money trouble now,it will only get worse as it appears they aren't thinking clearly.Remember that knowledge is power, gain as much as you can, especially when dealing with persons who cannot respect, and be grateful that they are fortuneate to have a roof over their heads.
You're right, of course, but it is hard when the houses are like 15 feet apart, if that. Right after I wrote the first letter my stepson had his prize scooter stolen right from our yard, I am sure it was our neighbors that did it. They were up till around 3AM that morning, and we didn't realize that the boy left the scooter outside. We don't have much traffic down this road, since then they barely look at me. GOOD! I hope it stays that way. We have been getting away from the house more often and that does help. Soon school will start and the bratty teenage girls should be gone, with our luck though they will be dropouts and be home all the time. Time will tell. I think they wil end up moving soon, thank God!
o.k got one may be extream but if they are as bad as you say: got a video camera? tape a few examples of there behavior. show your landlord. also, call the police as often as they do things to you, the more reports made aginst them , the faster they will be evicted. and finally complain, complain, complain, to your landlord. with all of this he will surley kick them out.....
Only one word of advice: Move.
Move, that is, if it looks like they'll be your neighbors for a long time.
It's the only thing that works. I bet that you're amazed at how the quality of your life improves when your neigbors go away for a few days. The best revenge is to live well.
I know, it's tough to leave, sometimes. You've put the work into your house, yard, etc. But all that is secondary to peace of mind. It's amazing how much wasted energy we exert under these circumstances.
DOCUMENTATION....DOCUMENTATION ....DOCUMENTATION
Write everything down, take pictures of EVERYTHING, video tape, audio tape, call the police and landlords religiously. When you are constantly calling and complaining, you make your problem also their problem, just don't call about the verbal lashings because you may not get far there. Call about the dog poop, the loud music, damage to your car, etc.
Consult a lawyer who can inform you of the legal actions you can take. You can probably not only be able to get them punished, but you may even be able to get money for punitive damages (unsanitary conditions, etc).
Hope everything works out for you!
