When All Seems Lost Love And Prayer Brings Together

Today 2016 I was called at 10:30 pm by one of my husband's employees that he had been shot and he was at the trauma ER. I got dressed and raced to his side. She met me there and let me know he was in surgery.

Over the next hours while he was in the OR I learned she was his woman too, she had a four year old by him, she lived with her mother who cared for her son while she was at work, he was with her and not with a customer as he had told me, her brother drunk and angry shot him three times, he was now in custody.

The staff informed us that he was stable but very critical. The surgeon was not as hopeful. He told us, if we loved him pray. If he had children they should come. Her mother brought the little boy, my daughters drove in. Two families stood beside him in the ICU. If you love him pray, we all held hands and prayed. Two families met that night, a little boy was held by his sisters, two mothers wept in each others arms, one man, his women and children held onto life by a thread.

Time favored him, the staff, the care of professionals, and the love and prayers of his women and children. After he was released to be cared for at home, his women shared the day, Melissa took the day shift, I took the night shift. Three months after he was shot he was eating at the table, his women fawning over him, his children around him. He survived and he is healthy and alive and chasing all that life can offer.

This Christmas he celebrated with his first grandchild, his son and daughters and his son-in-law. And at his side his women. Who love him and pray together. We know, others are tired of us telling them, we know that night the surgeon told us, love him and pray together. We love him and pray together, what once was apart, adrift, is now together, one family, blended though it may be, now welded and bound on the crucible of love.

Hug one another, do not judge what is not yours to judge.

Remarkable story of love conquering and making right what were so many wrongs.
That man is so blessed to have such a loving blended family.
All hate and anger would do is poison you all, children included.
Truly inspirational story of the power of prayer and Love.
Thank you for sharing.
