I had premature issues for a long time, I read some books on gaining control, bdsm probably won't help. But the best thing is communication, he probably doesn't even know there is a problem. So communicate

As a guy with life long premature ejaculation problems, like major problems, not much can be done to control it. Condoms, desensitized gels etc, nothing helps. Consider having an open relationship or being non monogamous.
