It took literally 16 years for me to have the courage to reveal this part of my life to someone. I found myself as different very early in life. When I was nine, I had a friend whom I had some strange feelings for, but it wasn't that big. But then, one day I was looking to a photo of her and a buy in my school saw me smiling. He instantly supposed I like girls, but of course I'd say no. He and some of his friends started to bully me only because of a photo and spread rumors about me. And that bullying spreaded to my friend, even though she didn't know about the rumors or. But more than that, it was my first experience with disrespect. My other friend found out about the rumors and started to avoid me and to say that I was gross for liking girls. That was my biggest moment of rage in my entire life. And to make it worse, my father found out about it a year before and began to disrespect me. He never accepted me like how I am. After all these moments, I thought that no one would accept me for being lesbian, neither I didn't accept myself and denied that for a long time. Then, it was when I chose being normal than being happy. But lucky it didn't took so long for me to change.
After moving to another city, I've met another girl, and after some time, because of how she was and after having some great moments with her, she changed me. And then, months later, I found myself in love again. No one knew about my sexuality till that moment, so after four long years, at 13, I decided to tell my mother about it. with heart in my hand, I sat on the sofa with her and told I was lesbian. And she accepted me. I've never cried like I did that day in my entire life. But I still hadn't the courage to confess my feelings to the girl I love, afraid that she wouldn't accept me. But then, two months later, everything changed. On the homecoming at my school.
A boy asked her out to the homecoming and when I heard about that, I felt sad but then, she told me she declined his request because she didn't know him that well. I got really happy and then we decided to go together with other two friends. Days later, at the homecoming night, when I went to her house and saw her in that dress, it was totally breathtaking. Anyway, for short, that night, I called her out to walk around the scholl and we did it. And then, after some minutes chatting and walking, we had a moment and... I decided to confess my feelings. At first, she neither accepted nor refused my love, but she said something that I didn't see coming. She said that if we did started dating, if it goes bad, our friendship would probably be over. I was already glad to tell her about me, but then, literally the next day, I received an unexpected response from her. She said that she would give a try to our new relationship, because she said that even though she wasn't sure about her feelings, she knew that they were more than friendship feelings.
For short again, we are still dating and I'm thinking about proposing to her. And the best part of it is that I'm 100% she'll accept.
