A Daddy's Girl Thru And Thru

In my home, which consisted of my mother, grandmother, brother and sister things were relaxed and open. Menstruation was a fact of life and we didn't hide it or abstain from talking about it. It never really occurred to me that our brother was there. Move forward to my first real job after college.

I went to work for a midsized company, 500 plus employees. I had an entry level job working as a compliance clerk in human resources. The owner had a policy, some people called it a habit, of welcoming young women to his company. 'Be careful' I was told. He came by my cubicle to say hi, he was nice and warm and genuine and I felt an immediate connection. The proverbial father figure I grew up without.

From time to time, when he walked the halls, he stopped to say hello, he offered fatherly advice, he reprimanded me for staying out late, for not watching my back. He stared deep into my eyes when he told me there was no bigger regret for a girl than giving in to some random guy. 'It's precious' he said. I missed his reference, he 'touched' my crotch with two fingers, 'this belongs to only one man'.

After that there was no topic I kept from him, I had open conversations about menstruation, about laundry, about panties cut wrong for me. I had conversations about why men have to put it on a woman the way they do. I saw him on weekends, after work, I cuddled in his arms, I sat on his hips and while he played with my breasts. To say that I fell in love is an understatement. I was in every sense his 'little girl', I had become a Daddy's girl. And I was in my own love fog.

When he flew home with me, to meet my family, my Grandmother told me I was too old to behave like that. She wasn't so much against me sleeping with him, 'but for God's sake behave like a grown woman not a little girl'. My mother rolled her eyes, my sister asked what it was like 'you know, with a grown man'. My brother kept his opinions to himself, maybe when he was 45 he would have a 22 year old to bend over his knee when she misbehaved.

Sure, it's kind of a given, when the man is so much older you have kids as soon as you can, every one reminds you, do you want him to see any grandchildren? 'Think about it, you're his wife now. And he can afford it, you don't have to work.'

I will end by saying, I am not that 22 year old, I'm a Daddy's girl, a stay at home mom. You don't pick who you love, but I'm serious here, for a young woman a mature man is a home run. A man who wants a little girl is the man for me. I can't imagine a conversation with a guy my age, immaturity is just about the biggest turn off.
