I Woke Up To The Nightmare Of My Life

I had this nightmare. I stood facing a very bright light, blinding me. Behind me, destruction, fire, ogres, monsters. Going back was out of the question. Leaping forward into the unknown worse. The hand that reached out of the light swept me towards him. He said one thing, 'you are here for just one thing, to conceive'.

I woke slowly, the room was dark, bathed only in the light of the moon outside. Beside me a man.
