I am 22 years old and I've never had a girlfriend. I hear most people say this having not even tried but believe me I tried. I've been looking for a relationship since I was 15. I've been trying everything, nothing can stop me from talking to any woman, I want, my motivation being that I want a girlfriend. But....no matter what I do I always fail in the worst ways possible. For the first few years I thought nothing of it but now I feel that the best time to experience love is over, I'm an adult now and it seems there is so much pressure to do this and do that, it fills me with sadness and anger. I have never had sex, meanwhile everyone around me is having it. I get frustrated when I see girls talking about how much they love their boyfriends and when I see my friends with their girls. I don't know what its like to be loved by someone, I'm always rejected or no one shows interest in me or the the girl I end up talking to always already has a girlfriend. I know I'm a nice guy, I don't behave like a guy that no girl would want to date. My first experience with love was when I had a crush on a girl who tricked me into thinking she liked me only to have her boyfriend and his friends jump me and beat me into the ground. That was the closest thing I've ever had to recriprocation of feelings. I keep thinking that things will look up but always end up having my hopes crushed every single time. I feel like everyone who sits and tells me that I'm 21 and I have my whole life to find someone is bullshitting me because everyone who tells me this has had someone at some point. I have had no one. Every girl I've ever loved has never loved me back. I am so lonely and I can't take it anymore. These feelings of anger, jealousy, inadequecy, and sadness make me want to die but I don't want to kill myself and burden my family. At my lowest point now, I recently found out that my 14 year old sister ran away with her boyfriend and had sex with him, she says that he is everything to her and they've been going out for a while and all that. I know I should not feel this way but it angers me...why can't I find someone who loves me? It seems everyone around can find someone and I can't. I don't want to have sex with some random person I just want someone to love me and care about me. The older I get, the more inadequate I feel, the women I meet who are close to my age can will be expecting so much from me and maybe I'm getting rejected because I don't have the experience with relationships a normal person my age is supposed to have. I also recently lost my job, who's gonna want to date a pennyless loser? I don't want to walk around, day in, day out feeling this way. It feels as if I can't find anyone. I'm so lonely. Why do I have to feel this way? What did I do to deserve this? As I type this I feel nothing but despair, all I want to do is die because it seems as if nothing will ever get better.

You could have been describing me at your age. I found that period of despair one day passed. In my life time, I have found women who I loved, and who I thought I loved. Beware making the mistake I did of jumping into one relationship with the crazy bitch who was probably the older sister of the girl who had her boyfriend jump you. I got involved with her because I thought nobody else was going to love someone like me, so I thought I'd have to settle for someone like her. As it turns out, not long after telling her to fuck off, I met the woman who I married, and who has since become the mother of my little daughter. So don't despair - chances are there is someone out there for you. The odds are on your side.

Dude,

Your entire self-worth appears to hinge upon whether you can find someone to love you. No one is going to want the responsibility of propping you up when you are so incomplete on your own. Read what you wrote. Does it sound attractive?

Stop thinking about loneliness and how miserable you perceive yourself to be and start working to make your life as fulfilling as possible, without someone to make you happy. If you are able to find your own happiness, and be comfortable in your own skin, you might stumble upon someone to love when you aren't even looking that hard. Some people are just late bloomers. Do the self work to be desirable, and the rest will come.

I would hardly call 22 a late bloomer; I was 33 when I got married. It made it nice because I had time to save money, buy a house, and get myself established in my career. I now have a beautiful wife, two wonderful kids, and a summer home in south carolina on the ocean (Oh Yeah Baby). If I had gotten involved at a young age I would be living paycheck to paycheck and probably die at 50 from poverty and lack of great medical care. Yes, I would say I was very responsible. All my peers who made fun of me for not being a sex nut and screwing all the silly young girls and laughing at me? Who's laughing now? I'm rich beeeaaatch!

Don't give up on yourself buddy! Anyone can do it, get a good career, a big bank roll, and then start your life. Do not ever sell yourself short, you too can own property and luxury cars! I don't think twice about all the laughing bastids when I'm driving my Mercedes to the country club! One of the main guys who made fun of me when I was your age is mowing lawns for a living, one of the others works at a Walmart; who one? I know this because me and my family flew home and I had to go to Walmart to get some things for my parents and I saw the bastid stocking shelves! Not to take away from the people who work at Walmart but this guy had everything when we were in school and pissed it away!

Work hard and it can happen for you!
