You'll meet someone, just hold out.

Keep an open mind, drink can help you lose your inhibitions which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just as long as you don't drink so much you regret what you've done.

Don't compare yourself to others because there's plenty of people that realise they had sex too early, experience isn't everything it's made out to be. You sound like you'd treat a girl with respect and I think that'll make you a winner in the long run.

I agree with 8003
When the right girl comes along, you'll know. More than likely, it will happen when you stop looking for it to happen.
When anxious about having a girlfriend, guys tend to give off a weird vibe... like a bad mix of desperation and stalker. That vibe sends even the nicest girl running for the nearest exit.
Just be calm... play it cool. Concentrate on your studies... maybe join a couple of study groups. Put finding a girlfriend on the back burner. That's when you'll make friends.. and one of those friends will become more than a friend.

You just have to be aggresive. I met my girlfriend walking out of the ladies room and I said to myself...I want that girl...I walked right up to her and said Hi I'm Bret and she responded with Hi I'm Katie...then I shook her hand...and did not let go...so she led me to a table of her friends and we sat, talked, drank and danced. That was a year ago.
