I met a man on a cruise and married him a day later along with 17 other couples. The marriage was completely legal. I went back to my home, he went to his home. We remained distant for several years. He called me one day, he wanted all my personal information. He had been promoted and one of his benefits was sizable life insurance. I found out later I was also the beneficiary on his bank accounts, pension, 401K.

His mother fell ill and passed away a few months later. He presented me with many fine pieces of her j*welry. I also found out he made me the primary beneficiary in his will. We were never intimate, he passed away from COVID in June of 2020, he had comorbidities. My financial future is well taken care of, I inherited his home and furnishings, as well as substantial financial instruments, and am the beneficiary of a substantial life policy.
