My Husband

I got married to my husband last fall after dating him for three years. Everything about our marriage and sex life is good

But I’m Jewish and my husband is not. I tell him it’s no big deal and I don’t expect him to convert to it. Especially since he’s uncut and he’d have to get circumcised if he converted!

Number 2, certainly for health reasons it makes sense. But religious reasons? Why, because a sky daddy won't accept a man into heaven unless he removes a chunk of skin around the tip of his penis?

If a grown man wants to remove his foreskin for health reason (or really any reason), freedom and bodily autonomy is important. But to be pressured to do so because of an ancient religious custom? That's bullshit.

Circumcision is genital mutilation... there are NO health grounds for it as a routine operation (in fact it's detrimental to penile heath and sensitivity) and religion is bullshit anyway.

Circumcision was introduced into the religion of Jews, but also Muslims, for purely practical reasons. In desert regions, where there is not enough water even for drinking, to prevent inflammation of the genital organs, circumcision was the most effective.
