The Purpose Of Life Is Having Children
Raised in a very Christian household, and educated in religious schools, including college, I was far from lose and had more important things going in my life than sex and perversion. I never masturbated, never dated really, hand touching was as far as I went, and I didn't like it.
When I was 28 I signed up for yoga with a new teacher. She was 62, from New Mexico and I liked her a lot and we talked. The subject of marriage and children came up and she told me that was her one regret, she had failed in her 'duty', had been so self centered that she never married and was childless, a withering vine on the tree of life.
The conversation hit me hard. I spent many more hours with her. Maybe a gentleman friend, if a husband wasn't for me. Don't call it sex, yes it's an act, call it what it is, mating. Get his sperm, you need that. The rest you can do on your own.
I went on a retreat with my church women's group, no men. Some of the women were mothers. Yes, pregnancy was an invasive parasite, but it came and went, and you never regret it. What comes of pregnancy is a child, you'll do it again and be happy you can. Oh, get the sperm from a man you can face at breakfast and crawl in bed at night.
My mind slowly changed and I didn't want to reach the last stage of my life childless and a withering vine on the tree of life. The sperm came from a man I met and I became his wife. In time I was caring for children, my pregnancies behind me.
