Late To The Game But So Glad I Found Someone To Play With

I went to Austin to visit a friend. We had gone to college together and she had moved there for a job. Her apartment was small, a studio apartment, which is what she could afford and we bunked up together. She took me out to eat at this popular Mexican place and we had to wait for an hour before we got seated. While we were in the parking lot this woman kept looking at me and making eye contact. My friend noticed and whispered that maybe she should have told me, but this place was a favorite with the lesbian set, and it seemed that I had attracted her attention.

We got seated in a section with four small booths and to our surprise a few minutes later the woman from the parking lot was seated right across from us, with her friend or date or whatever. The way we were seated, across from each she kept looking at me and when we made eye contact I was the one to break it. After a while it got uncomfortable, I wasn't used to being watched like that. When we paid the bill and got up to leave the woman blew and air kissed at me. On the drive home my friend commented that I must have that chemistry.

In bed that night, we were bunking up, she laid on her stomach and I laid on my back and we talked. She asked me why I was uncomfortable because a lesbian looked at me and if I realized that I had that effect on lesbians? And with a gentle touch of my face she opened up and told me that she was a lesbian and believe it or not she could feel the chemistry. And with that she moved herself up so that she could lean over me and kiss me. "How's that?" Another kiss, and then another kiss, and she laid on her side and moved her hand up and down my arm, then she took my breast in her hand and bent over and kissed my nipple through my shirt.

"Can I make love to you?" I promise that I will stop anytime you want. Right then I didn't want her to stop, and I let her touch me and kiss me up and down, from my face, my breasts and down into my bush until she got between my legs and went down on me with passion. The most I could do was let her, my hands gently on the back of her head. I was scared to answer back, to say anything. And then like a lighting strike I went off with the Big O.

The rest of my stay with my friend was a stay with a new lover. It was different than discovering a love partner with a man, and at the same time it was the same dance of discovery. Only this time I was a fish out of water, I didn't know the rules, the behaviors, how to respond, what to say. All I knew is that I liked it instantly. When she bent over me at the table and kissed me my eyes closed automatically to drink in her kiss. I wasn't offended or in any way put off. I just wished I had more courage to respond, to initiate a kiss, or touch her breast.

We kept up via social media, texts, phone calls late at night. She was central in my mind, day and night. When I woke up, when I went to bed. I told her these things on the phone, and she told me that she wanted me to wake up with her, why didn't I move to Austin. She was sure I could get a job.

Living in a small studio apartment was a crash course in intimacy, about everything. She told me that once in college she had a lesbian lover for a roommate. Remember her? Long hair, liked to job and ride a bike? I remembered her but I never guessed she was a lesbian. Now here I was, learning to be a lesbian, to show my feelings, to hold my hand between her legs. It is not at all like holding a man's dick. I was used to being made love to and she did make love to me, but I felt a need to make love to her and it took many false tries before I reached over her and kissed her and held her breast in my hand and kissed her nipples. She liked it and encouraged me, it was baby step by baby step. It was not easy to face her open sex and lower my face into her. But I did. and there is so much more to pay attention to. And it gave me a sense of power.

We were both adults when we took the leap together. I was not a college girl, and she wasn't either. We were both in our thirties, the difference being that I wasn't her first lover but she was mine. I had only been with men up to that time. I didn't care about the lesbian scene, I've never liked aggressive people. We shared her small studio apartment and were more than anything pressed together. The pandemic forced us to realize that too small of a place had to change, and we were fortunate enough to find a much nicer, bigger condo which we were able to buy together. Putting all your money in a pot together forced us to cross the river. We no longer pretended to be dating, we had to make a bigger life commitment. After all, we were financially tied together. We got married a year ago, we just had our first anniversary. And here I thought I would never meet the man to marry.
