Kicking The Media's Version Of Lesbians, Not In My Neighborhood

I'm going to wade into it, just remember this is my experience. I live in Austin, in the middle of the action. I'm 36 so I'm not a college student. I am part owner of a bar, frequented by lesbians. Now here's the sample of what I see.

There are cute college lesbians playing around. I'm pretty sure they fade away, find a boyfriend and settle down. The lesbians I see every day do not fit the profile of what is shown in the movies, you know the super hot babe falling for the equally hot babe. We, me included, are not hot. Far from it.

We are plain janes, heavier over thinner, our features lack that ideal beauty. Most of us, pretty much all my customers and my friends are never that beauty. Damn, if these lesbians came into my bar she would leave without her panties. We laugh, we cry, we wonder where they are.

What you see is what we get, heavy, bossy, older, never hot on tv. It was pretty much a classical lesbian couple, Randy Weingarten and her wife walking into the White House.

I'm ducking behind the bar.

The scientific term(according to the Viz dictionary, a U.K based magazine). Is the "Dyke differential". It refers to the difference between the type of lesbian seen on T.V and porn versus the type you are likely to meet in a bar!

Same for how blacks are portrayed in the media, wish I was one of them.
