Some Secrets Need To Stay Secrets
When I was 16 I went to spend the summer with my grandparents in Michigan. I saw my grandfather grabbing the man who was working on the farm. Grabbing him sexually, and then sucking him. It was pretty hard to admit to myself.
Later on, many years later after grandma got sick I went to Michigan to help out. Grandpa was nice and very worried about grandma. They had been married more than sixty years, married when they were young. Grandma passed and it was my job to put her things away. I found these letters of a long time ago when they were dating. One of them struck me, she told him that he had to control himself. He knew what would happen if it got out. He needed to just get married and get on with it and leave those boys alone.
Grandma knew, it made it easier for me knowing that Grandpa liked boys. I tore up that letter and flushed it down the toilet.
