Finding Love From The Most Improbable Situation

Lost in translation. I asked her to do her job. She said I was harassing her. I had HR ask her to follow the dress code, which she had been given before she was hired. She reported us to the EOC claiming we were attacking her cultural background. We put her on probation, she had the highest error rate of her peers. She screamed on social media that we were not in compliance with minority representation.

We fired her for defamation on social media, which our employee handbook clearly prohibited.

I was asked to lunch by a woman I didn't know. She was an ex coworker of this woman and let me know that she had sued her previous employer for race discrimination. Her reputation was abysmal but quieted by her former employers.

Now to get to the salacious part. This woman I met was quite attractive and personable. What was a clandestine lunch lasted three hours. Although this former employee was part of the conversation, most of it was children, where we lived and extracurricular activities. We met a few more times, once a month or so and helped her get on with a company I used to work for. She talked about a cruise in the Caribbean, I said let's do it. Hesitantly we agreed yo share a room to save on costs.

We returned from our cruise much closer than when we boarded, two middle aged ladies finding love in the dark. All because of this hideous woman who made our work life miserable.
