I Married Him
Literally, my superior took me to work and he told me he wanted to see me heavy with pregnancy, nursing babies. Then the good news, he had chosen me, hurray! His babies.
Did I have a voice? No. He had already made up his mind. If I got pregnant right away, I could be nursing by Christmas. So time to get started.
On the way back to the office he stopped to show me the house he bought for me. My very own kitchen. My laundry too. His garage. Imagine it, nursing a new baby in the living room while he watched tv.
So, he had the marriage license filled out waiting for my signature, and a trip downtown and I was ready to get pregnant. BTW, was I in my fertility time?
Some little Itty bitty issues. I had no interest in getting married, much less getting pregnant. Nice house, but not for me. Oh, what if I was on birth control? But he wiped all that away with the wave of his hand. 'Sign here.'
I had his baby by Christmas, my baby is going to be four months old. She nurses pretty good, and I like my kitchen. And an in house laundry is nice, no more trips to the laundromat. I miss work, but my nanny doesn't start until the beginning of the month.
