The Search Led To A Stone Unturned

I was on a semester abroad where I met J. J is Italian, a motor sport enthusiast, a mechanic by trade. We had fun. One day, right after having fun he told me foreign students were popular because they went home. From a feeling of walking on air to having my face slammed into the floor.

I've had time to grow, I'm in a full time employment situation. I met G through a friend, things moved forward to having fun when he told me he was into one night stands. I walked away deciding I was better off single.

Single life was worse than I expected and I fell into the arms of A, a thirty year old last who worked at the museum. We had an on again off again thing going, she told me she had become monogamous and wanted to get to the next level. I felt bad telling her that I was in it for the fun, and wasn't interested in a long term situation. It hurt that night that I treated her like I had been treated.

I went on line, the candidate had to be self supporting, between thirty and forty, no children. A man answered, he had just moved to our city, looking for a wife to share his home with. Yes he had children, several. Turning forty he was looking for a younger wife. I learned from conversation he had a wife, and I would be number two. Too much baggage, I disqualified myself.

It took until I was 37 before I met a man to be a husband. All I had to do was break him of his gaming habit. Marrying a man whose habit is children's games brings tantrums and hate mail. In six weeks I knew it was a mistake and cut my losses and left him.

I'm back with a girlfriend, hoping this relationship will work for me. Men are big babies, at least women are mature and understanding. No tantrums if I shut down his computer. You don't have to teach them rudimentary housework. Yes I'm settling,
