The Girl Who Brings Out The Love In Everybody
My husband hired a young lady to help with PR. Outgoing, attractive, home grown, happy, a dream. She got his number from the beginning, all he could talk about. Lost in thought he was thinking of her. I wanted to meet her to see what this was all about.
The chemistry was mutual, she hung on every word he said, her eyes followed him around the room. She met every definition of pretty, and so nice you wanted to hug her. When he lay awake at night wanting to hug her I understood and felt his longing. The Christmas party was my chance to get to know her better. No boyfriend, check. Lived at home with Mom, check. Avoided my eyes, looking for him in the crowd, check. Accepted my invitation for Christmas dinner, check.
All of 2016 came and went, she was a frequent guest in our house, she jumped at the chance to bake him a lemon pie for his birthday. He hugged her to him, she looked up into his eyes when he caressed her face with his thumb. We went to the beach over 4th of July, she slept with us in the same room. She likes to talk at night and we kidded, laughed, teased with her about sleeping with him.
Over Thanksgiving she joined us at my mother's. I checked on her to make sure she wasn't lonely, invited her to sleep with us so he could hold her. She responded to his touch, his hugs and kisses, she gave herself to him. She lay quiet in my arms after their moment. I missed her gently and told her how much he loved her, how much I had come to live her.
She gave us a love baby the following year, and became a member of the family. 2020 was a difficult year, college girls hone. our love Mommy and baby girl home, he and I both home, we lived in tight quarters. She proved everyone wrong, she showed everyone she was a full member of the family, yes she is a Daddy's girl, but so are our daughters, he brings that out in them.
Loving her is easy, she's as much my daughter as my two girls. They are 'sisters', he's her Daddy and she's his girl. and when it's quiet she sits with me and we talk, and I can see in her eyes everything's perfect.
