If she wasn't getting it on with someone, or several someones, as a single woman of 45, she should have been. She was in the prime of her sexual life. Even now, at 68, I hope for her sake that she still has someone, or several someones, to rock he world on a regular basis, if that's what she wants. She deserves to be happy.

Well unless you ask her you will never know for sure. Don't know what your relationship with your mom is like, but obviously something has brought this to the surface years later.
So maybe its time you two had a talk.
That being said, having been through a divorce and all that cums with it, my money is she was exploring her sexuality. There are far worse choices she could have made, in the grand scheme of things....not a big deal.
