One Night In Las Vegas

I was 19, a college freshman when I went with my sister to Las Vegas for her bachelorette party. The party scene was a suite in the hotel, so private. I woke up in bed with a forty year old man who was there for a convention. Vague memories of going down to the pool at midnight, topless pool play, guys bringing us drinks. My bikini bottoms on the floor, my top by the pool.

I got pregnant, he was real nice about it, he and his wife adopted my baby.

I'm now living close to them to be near my daughter. I work for a large funeral company in their investment department. I'm Mom, his wife is Sally. I can't contemplate not being with my daughter, which means I see him almost every day. His wife gives me the eye when I act possessive with him. I can't help it. He long ago accepted me as part of their life and never once prevented me from being Mom to my daughter.

I would like to have a conventional home like my sister and her husband, married with a family, but I'm in this universe I can't get out of. It's my life, the 'hangover' from her bachelorette party.

If you want a conventional home like your sister, find an available guy in your area and make one of your own. Getting married and having another child doesn't mean you have to stop seeing your first child!
You were both two drunk people who had sex. You didn't get married, I don't see why you have envy of his marriage. You didn't have to give him the baby. Yes at 19 you were young, but you were not a child.
There are 2 kinds of people in this world. The ones who don't work had enough to have what they want, and complain about not having it. And ones that don't complain, work hard enough for what they want, and get it.
Your still young enough to chose your path.
