Modern Day Tyranny

I got in trouble with a young staff member at work. I wasn't her direct supervisor, but indirectly I had a 'power dynamic' over her. She is 23, every man's dream daughter. She came to me to talk about something at home and she didn't know who talk with. Seems her fifteen year old sister was playing around with an older girl from the high school.

I listened and offered my observations to her and put my arm around her shoulder to comfort her, and she did what girls do, she put her arms around me for a full body hug. I kissed her cheek, and then her lips. And that weekend I went into town to check up in her and had sex, full on sex with a virgin girl. My first virgin. And it was everything said about it. But that's just an observation. We had sex another time, this time she was more open to letting me admire her body, to just let me kiss her from head to toe, and lose myself in her 'sweet pussy'.

What got out of hand was her behavior at work. She couldn't resist and wanted affections. She confided in another girl, and the 'story' was out and HR in their 'wisdom' decided that I should attend sexual harassment training. The only person being harassed was me, and the harasser was the overlord HR Director.

I refused, period. None of their business. Notwithstanding my many years of service, my real value added, the HR overlords have grabbed the power torch and could not release it. Refusal was deemed insubordination to the organization, no matter that no accusation was ever made by the young staffer. I was fired.

A further review initiated by a friend, who had pull with a board member offered me reinstatement, but for that I would have to submit to HR and be subject to their indoctrination. Can't do that, won't do that. My advise to the young staffer is to get the hell out of there. The overlords have her number.

Take the reinstatement and deal with HR's nonsense. There is a saying "don't shit where you eat." Let this be a lesson learned. HR job is not about protecting the employee but instead, just management of the human capital and reducing all liabilities to the company.

Welcome to the 20th century. This is old news and was standard 30 years ago in many workplaces. Dipping your wick might have been very enjoyable but at your age, you should have known that there could be risks.

How much is your pride worth compared to having to find another job at a similar level of pay?

I had a work FWB who couldnt keep her mouth shut either, so I cut her loose before any work damage was done. Fortunately our HR chick was having her own work fun so she couldnt really hassle anyone about it. Yeah used to be work playing was common, veven accepted. No longer.

I'm the HR rep, and one thing led to another and I slipped into bed with my boss, the VP of Business A. No one took advantage of anyone. What I've realized is how easy a young woman can fall for a handsome, successful, silver tongued older man. His hugs, embraces, melted my heart, and dropped my pants. Easy as pie. And a no-no for sure, but the brain is not connected to your parts down below.

I would have talked with her, told her to cool it before she got him in trouble, then talked to him to keep his pen out of the company's ink. Get her a job somewhere else, use his connections.

I did not follow my own advise, I played with a hand grenade by holding the pin between my teeth. He retired when the pandemic layoffs happened, took early retirement and a package and made love to me for a week. I understand her, she is me, in another place another time. I will crawl on broken glass for the man I love. And I'm blind to anything that is not being with him.

After 40 years in a corporate environment and knowing what goes on, I say this.
Regardless of your age or sex, If you're going to do anything, both parties have to keep their fucking mouths shut.
And I mean completely shut.

Work is work.
Be professional.
You're there to make money.
Not fuck.

Do nothing that would make anyone think otherwise.
Even if you own the company, today's laws are against you.
So don't kid yourself.
Either that, or don't get involved to begin with.

You need to consider the following:

1. If your job prospective is nil or not as good as your old job, take the reinstatement. It'll not kill you. Otherwise, move on. The important thing is making a living.

2. The HR training is not so bad, just boring and bureaucratic. I attended some of them in the last 20 years before I retired as they were mandatory. It'll not kill you.

3. What the company did was not a personal attack. In this day and age of the Me Too, Woke, Cancel tyranny, organizations are afraid of these type of employees liaisons, particularly one involving an older male (specially white) and a younger woman, fearing that down the road the female might sue claiming she was coerced into having sex by a higher ranking employee and the company allowed it.

You have my sympathy. Best wishes.
