Kid Plans And Living With The Consequences

The fall of my junior year in high school my father accepted a job for the following school year as Superintendent of a school district in the Texas 'valley'. A far cry from Plano. That's when my best friend and me we came up with the idea, the plan to stay in Plano. Get pregnant, get married.

I had to get going. I had to be reliably pregnant, with an up and coming boy or 'man' who would take responsibility and marry me. Much harder than you think, I kept getting caught up with liking him. I was running out of time when I laid down and let him. A college senior in engineering, a bit of a nerd, he liked bowling and talked music and old movies. Beggars can't be choosers and I could always fall in love with him, or learn to live with him.

He had no idea, it was his first time too, he was floored and upset. I was just turned 17, he was a solid 22. My parents weren't having anything to do with my plan and would not agree that it was consensual. On advice from a lawyer he signed the marriage license to avoid facing charges and officially be the recognized father, and further acknowledge that I was going to the valley with my parents. As soon as practical after the baby was born he would make his exit. He says she says is a bad place for him to be standing.

I had my baby, graduated from high school in the valley, turned 18, and ran away to live with my husband. And promptly got pregnant again. We live in Fort Worth, a long way from Plano. Being an adult, running a home, two preschool babies, budgeting, cooking and cleaning. And I still have to go to college.

Sooo ... you're a stay-at-home mom with two babies and this makes you an adult?
In the process, you've ruined some guy's life with your manipulations, making him choose between marriage or criminal charges of sex with a minor.
And this is because you just didn't want to move to where? the Texas 'valley'?
That's pretty cold-blooded and yet you talk about it all so matter-of-factly.

It was nasty how you entrapped your future husband - that's not love.

It was also small minded thinking that getting pregnant and married would be easier than moving to another place. How on earth did that even make sense to you? Now you're locked in at 20 until your kids grow up.

Anyone else notice these "confessions" from women sound really similar. Written in short sentences, self-pitying, filled with regret, woe-is-me.

Really? All that to stay in Plano?? Plano is a shithole and if you ever tried living in any other place you might have realized that. Now you just have a shitty life to go along with your shithole Plano fantasies.

Wow! What a great plan you conceived of and developed for your life! At least it seems to be working out well for you... NOT! Enjoy your life, dumba**.
