In Love With My Coworker

I work as a cleaner in a high school, I have been working there off and on for the last few years.

I have a coworker, I don’t know exactly how old she is but I think late 40s, much older than me. She’s also married with kids, most of them now adults and not much younger than me.

I’ve known her for years but in the last few months especially we’ve started talking about our interests more and realised we share a lot in common. Particularly a love of the paranormal.

And the more I’ve gotten to know her, the more I think about her. To the point that sometimes she’s the only thing I’m thinking about. It’s not an obsession, but rather a deep attraction and affection, that kind of unrequited love that feels like it may be shared, but that I am far too worried to act on.

Although we get along really well, there’s every chance that it’s only a friendship connection to her. But when she comes to ask me for something or pulls me aside to discuss something, I can’t help my mind from theorizing that she’s doing it because she wants to see me as much as I wanted to see her.

I’m gonna ask her for her number when I see her again. Casually, the way I’d ask anyone else. But with the slight hope that maybe, just maybe, it could lead to something. Maybe hanging out, maybe doing something together, maybe more.

I’d never want to come between a married couple, but if I had the chance to make her as happy as she deserves to be, I’d do what I could to make that happen. To make her smile.

Here's a tip about married women - they almost always trade up, so that reduces your odds, especially if you're thinking that she might leave her husband for you.

It's not going to happen, and yes it's obsession. She's given you *some* attention by sharing similar interests and in your mind it's running wild. You're fantasising about her maybe non-sexually but also sexually (be honest).
I get the sense you're very much a loner with no friends and you've latched onto this woman.
Finally, dude, you're 25 and you're a school cleaner? Were you not paying attention in class?
And for God's sake don't suddenly drop trow and think she's going to get down on her knees for you. That way leads to much awkwardness, lawsuits and firings from jobs.

I agree with AdultOrphan. You finally found someone with similar interests and you've created a relationship scenario. There is none. She has a husband and family. If she has any interest in starting a deeper relationship with you; she will seek it out! Be it sexual or not. Any move by you to advance things, will push her away. Tread lightly.
If I were you, I'd look elsewhere.
