How I Knew I Was Gay

I've known since I was 4 or 5 years old that I was gay and my way of knowing was pretty simple. Any time I saw an attractive man in a cartoon or movie, my thoughts would be "Wow he is so hot". Any time I saw an attractive woman, my thoughts were "Beautiful but for some reason these good looks aren't appealing to me." Also every time I saw a shirtless guy, I had a very strong urge to just go up to him and start rubbing and touching his shirtless body.
As a gay man, I have been asked a good number of times how I knew I was gay. Isn't this a question that can be answered with common sense? Isn't it the simple answer I just gave above?
