Whirlwind Marriage, Six Weeks After Meeting Him

I took a job for an easier commute. Worldly in mind but sexually immature. The 'man' I reported to was gruff and overbearing. Granted I was new and needed training, and oversensitive. A week into my new job I got food poisoning after lunch and vomited. Frustrated with me he had me clean up and loaned me a shirt he kept in a drawer, then drove me to my apartment. By then I had a splitting headache. He undressed me, literally took my clothes off and helped me into a nightgown, pulled the blinds and put me to bed with a couple of Advil.

I woke up four hours later, he was in my living room talking on the phone. I was still nursing the headache and needed the bathroom. He decided I needed a bath and he put water on for tea. He sat on the toilet with me in the tub soaking and drinking tea. I had given up on him seeing me naked. He held up a towel and wrapped me in it, that little girl feeling in his hug was intense and fulfilling.

He sat outside my room overnight, I lay there with that feeling of wanting him to just take the initiative. The next morning we ate breakfast, we stopped at his place for him to shower and get dressed. On the way to the office he told me it wasn't a good idea to talk about it.

He told me he was old fashioned, he would buy me a house and he wanted children. We went to the courthouse and completed the marriage license application, and made an appointment for 2 pm the following Tuesday. He bought me wedding bands, and my best friend stood for me. He bought me a house and I'm pregnant. I don't know what I'm doing.

Thank god you're not irresponsible or impulsive!

I'd advise that you never reproduce but it appears that ship has sailed.

Another millennial unable to cope with life and making poor choice with huge ramifications.

Good luck!

You'll need it.
