Married Closeted Lesbians Live Fulfilled Quality Lives
Somewhere around ten or eleven I started wondering why I had these jealous feelings over other girls. Very intense jealousies. I was girl centric, and no interest in the world of boys or men. It wasn't until I was away at college that I got sweet with a girl. The experience created a guilt I had never felt before.
At the same time I was around the ERA movement and Women's Liberation. Both turned me off completely. And the girls who were active in these movements created a high degree of uncomfortable feelings. I was still dreaming of weddings, homes and children. When the girl I had been sweet with told me she was going to the ERA convention any feelings I may have had died immediately.
After college I met and had an intimate affair with another girl at work. Jealousy was real, I woke up wishing I was with her. Like me she dressed and behaved 'normal', welcome to the world of closeted lesbians. Be together, but keep your hands to yourself in public.
A coworker, a male, approached me and told me he was looking for a roommate, one that could cook and keep the apartment clean, did the laundry and grocery shopping, you know, girl things. No rent required, just be a 'housewife' and he would 'take care of me'. There was cold silence. He leaned forward and told me he could see that Jenny was my love interest. Don't get exited, he had a cousin like me. Be his 'housewife' and he would provide cover for me and Jenny.
Of course, for it to work I had to marry him, and give him a 'few' children. He would have girlfriends, I would be his housewife, and I could see Jenny. As crazy as it sounds I jumped for it, got married with all the pomp and ceremony, went on a three week honeymoon and came home pregnant. Getting my 'papers', with my new name was better than Christmas.
He kept his word and Jenny became my soul mate, I could call out telling her I loved her. My husband has never had to demand sex from me, I am more than happy to be more than just a housewife, I give myself to him. Being a closeted lesbian allows me to love him my way. I need a dominant male in my life. And Jenny's like me, she does well under the umbrella of a strong male. A 'big brother' to her.
I've met other married closeted lesbians, happy to be wives and homemakers. The one continuous relationship in their lives is with their husbands. I am a volunteer with Right to Life. I work with young women, some of them lesbians. I do share from time to time my closeted identity, and how I've juggled a husband and a 'wife'. You can have it all, I tell them, if you marry the right man, and your 'wife' goes along with it.
