From Fires Of Hell To Arms Of Angels
I was 19 living in a run down duplex. A fire broke out and overwhelmed the building. A passerby saw the flames and stopped. Someone outside told him 'a girl' was inside. He ran into the building and found me asleep and carried me outside. I was brought back by the firemen, and spent the night in a hospital. All my clothes, and what little else I had were gone. I was released to the man that carried me out.
He was direct with me, he had pulled me out, now he was responsible for me. He was going to take care of me and I was going to let him. First he took me to the mall and bought me clothes to replace the clothes the hospital loaned me. Toiletries, hairbrush, other girl stuff including make up. My hair smelled of smoke so he had my head shaved. He put me in his spare bedroom.
He went to work and left me, brought in dinner until he could get me to do the shopping. He cooked and showed me. I first had to study for my high school equivalency. Next came signing me up for JC. I also had to do driver's training. I had chores and suggested reading to make me a better person. I lost it, cried, ran away three times. I finished an Associates in two and a bit years.
I was accepted at the State four year college, and also at a private Lutheran college. I went to the Lutheran school because part of the requirements were 12 hours in Religion. I graduated and all I could see in the grandstands was one man, waving. The fireman waiting for me when I exited the building.
If I say God sent him I get laughed at, if I say he never m****ted me, I'm told he's stup!d, if I say I love him I'm told I'm gold digging. I'm told there are no angels, I do know that I was a dead girl. The fireman who resuscitated me told me, the only time he had seen someone brought back from the dead, back to the living.
I don't know about you, but God is real, his Angels among us.
