I'm Proud To Be A Woman And That's What I Want 2B More Than Anything

I have a friend with a son and a daughter. These kids are about as normal as can be. The boy is outdoorsy, rides his bike after school, stands up for his sister. The girl is into dresses, long hair, j*welries. I gave her a pair of hand me down shoes, she turned them down as to boyish. She wants pink and bright colors, hearts and unicorns.

Their mother is as straight and narrow as you could like. She takes care of cooking and holding a full time job. So what gives? That is my dream life. I want a boy and a girl. I want a boy into hunting and fishing, a girl helping me cook and set the table. I realize any of my dream requires a man. Not a male, a man.

I grew up on a farm. Boys worked with the large animals and the fields, girls had babies and took care of the house and small animals in their pens. No one talked down, no one called anyone out. I have a dream, and it's being my mom.

My friend and I work together. She became a wife early on. I wasn't as lucky, the males I met weren't men inside. It gives me pleasure to see a woman raise her son to be a man, and her daughter to grow up to be a girl. No mistake in her house as to the definition of a woman. One day I will meet the man, and once I'm married he will know he's married to a woman.
