Embracing My Husband's Little Mistress

Married 19 years, two teenagers, my husband gets the itch for a younger woman, very pretty, nice soft engaging personality, affectionate, La la land about older men. Crazy, but I chose to let it run it's course. It got worse, even our daughters asked, what's Daddy doing?

I met with her, a nice neutral ladies' restaurant. I walked away knowing he wasn't going to drop her, she wasn't going to leave him. I had to decide, am I (and my daughters) better off with him or without him? No question, a little affair wasn't worth destroying our lives, killing our standard of living. He doesn't smoke, drink or gamble. He doesn't hunt, fish or golf. He doesn't yell, scream, belittle. He is a good father, good provider. What's a little affair then?

She shared our Thanksgiving table, held our hands in prayer, helped setting the table, she brought desert, and was so pleasant, so nice, so affectionate. It was a wonderful family dinner.
