As an HR professional, Master's degree level. I worked hard to get women promoted into positions of authority. It's backfired. You think having a toxic male as a boss is bad, try having a toxic female.

Over the last twenty years of progress I look back on those wonderful fun filled days with my first boss. Never mind the bottom patting, the arm around my shoulder. The parenting, the permissions, running interference keeping me from bad influences. The Daddy figure. I talk with him weekly, I need his insight, his steady hand. He's retired but still my work Daddy, if only I could turn the clock back.

Be careful what you ask for. Boy, if only I had listened.
