You Grow Up Your Way, My Culture Doesn't Work That Way

My father and uncle started a company that has been very successful. My father passed from an accidental poisoning and my uncle became our patriarch. I grew up in the lap of luxury, was schooled in exclusive schools, attended a top ten elite university. At college I met and discovered I was particular to women. A secret that I kept hidden from my family.

My uncle found out using a secret detective. I was 26 and had not presented a prospect. My uncle gave me an ultimatum, present him with a child within one year inside of a lasting marriage. Or walk alone, without family or money. My aunt and mother found a doctor in Mumbai whose wife had died in a car accident, he had two children 11 and 13 who needed a mother. And he wanted a visa.

Quickly arranged I was married in Mumbai surrounded by cousins I had never heard of, my woman parts responded and I was immediately pregnant, meeting my uncle's demands to stay in the family. My insides worked a second time and he was happy with me, his visa was awarded, he passed the boards in Michigan where he had family and I became a doctor's housewife.

My feelings returned after my second child, my family ignored my friendship. My uncle doesn't want her near him. My 'distributions' continue, my children are registered as heirs and financial trusts are set up in their names.

Some friends can't understand why I didn't tell my uncle to F off. But they never grew up with money. Poor and kicked out of the family isn't a price I could pay, it was actually easy, I gave him my body, not my spirit, when I got married.
