When I Got Married I Told Her I Want A Woman Not Another Man

I own a construction company. Over and over my wife insists I make room for women. Over and over again the answer is the same. Women are too small. Women don't have the upper body strength. Women's grip, hands and forearms are to weak to handle the heavy equipment. Women's minds wander and accidents happen. Excuses are all over the place, When the simple answer is they did not keep their eye on the ball.

Women quit. 99% of our field crews are men, the women washed out.

Well, as an ex Marine I experienced the same thing. Men had to make allowances, and back them up. At their peril, and the peril of other men and the women pretending to be men. And the killer instinct wasn't there.

One example doesn't cut it. Can't run an outfit that way. Can't run a company that way.

Lot's of cover up, lot's of print was given to female outfits in WW2 by the Russians. The truth is women's contribution as front line combatants didn't make an iota of difference in the outcome, might as well have never suited up. And no one counted the men who died to support the inexcusable experiment.

It's not a sad reality, it's just reality. Women are better in the back office, they are good accountants, they are great nurses, stoic in the face of overwhelming casualties. No Marine ever dissed the nurses.

Women's month is unnecessary. Nothing good comes of it. It diverts attention from reality, women are just fine. If you let each be better at what they are. My wife carries a resentment, but her reality is that as a woman she's best suited not trying to be a man. And I'm the first to confess, men make lousy women too.
