A Lifetime In The Yoke Of A Man
I'm 60 and having more and more arguments with my husband of forty years. He wins, he sounds like he made it up, but he knows. It's frustrating. Lately we fight over male innate dominance. It really pisses me off, but again he's right. Males are innately dominant, females can be too, but it's not their first trait, except with the young under their care.
His view is nature's selection, my view is socialization. Again male versus female. Males are selected for dominant traits, we socialize males for getting along. Males who are not dominant, mama's boy's, hen pecked, etc. all are negative expressions, primarily used by women. Men use pussy whipped, but I've heard women use it to.
I hate being a woman, because of this. But I was incredibly lucky in that I married a man who spoke softly but carried a big stick, and I was the one who accommodated him, most of the time. My marriage was under duress, for economic reasons, my husband ran a tight ship and I lived a very comfortable life. My husband is very much the dominant partner. I learned so within the week of being married.
The wise 'old broad' in my life, who my husband has kept in good stead as well, her advise for all these many years has been "The woman, has as much power as a man, just open your legs". God, I hate that answer.
