Betrayed And Tired.

I’ve always thought I was a strong person. Tough mentally and physically, even in the worst of times I always saw the light at the end of the tunnel. But 10 months ago, my wife cheated and it crushed me. We’re even trying to “work it out” but the pain is still so intense I feel like I’m just broken. I even considered, and came very close, to the 1 thing I swore I never would; suicide. I had the gun to my chest and my finger on the trigger. But the idea that my kids would be left with THAT memory of their father, plus growing up with who knows what strange men instead, stayed my hand. But it still hurts so much, every day, and I just want the pain to stop. I can’t tell anyone the true depth of how bad I feel because of my job and the “mentally unstable” stigma it could put on me. Just needed to say it somewhere.

I'm glad that you thought of your kids. Whether you stay with your wife or leave, someday you'll be glad that you stayed alive for your children. Your children will live better lives because of your choice.

Be kind to yourself. You can always find another wife or partner.

At the end of the day, think of your kids and do everything for them, even if that means you leave your wife. One day, your kids will understand and see you as being the hero.

My guy!

Keep your head in the game. You obviously care, have morals and resiliency. Don't cave to the emotions brought on by shifty people in your life. Read some stoicism books - seriously. The world has need of you.

The world.

Has need of you.

Endure.
