Be Careful, Very Careful, Don't Let Your Little Head Control You

One day my wife complained about a pain in her abdomen. After a week a friend of hers convinced her to see a doctor. She was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. Three months later she was gone. At 62 I was all of a sudden lonely.

The women I met were not interesting, mostly divorced with lots of baggage. I went to spend a week at a friend's timeshare in Playa del Carmen. I met a young woman there, in her late twenties she got my heart pumping. My friend told me it was a honey trap, Mexican women came with the whole family, and she would be pregnant before sundown.

Torn between loneliness and rationality I gave into loneliness. She never loved me, not beyond my wallet. Her mother moved in and she focused on her green card. I fathered a child with a woman thirty years younger. What was an attentive girl in Mexico became a demanding distant no sex woman. I was caught by surprise at her progressive politics and her man hating. Her mother was no different. When her sister moved in I moved out. These women took over the house I lived in with my wife.

The ending isn't any better. The pregnancy was intentional for the narrative for the visa. She lined up a female family lawyer to sue for divorce. Abuse, mental anguish. I fought back, the kid became the fulcrum. Over 250 thousand, for them moving out of my wife's house. She took the silver place settings. An old formula, another victim. I wasn't surprised when I found out from my private detective, I wasn't her first husband.

I had a coworker who was an older single gentleman. Went to Mexico, met a much younger guy who he thought would be his lifelong soulmate. Brought him to Canada, they got married because the immigration department was after the boy toy, and they got divorced a few years later. The Mexican boy toy took him for a lot of money, as well as half his pension.

My coworker should have hired a male escort for a year instead. Would have been a lot cheaper, and without the heartache and drama.
