Motherhood Is Tough Enough, Without Bad Influences On Our Kids

Why you make poor decisions is every parent's nightmare. My brother got into an accident with a fatality when he was seventeen, and under the influence. The unscrubbed version, he was drunk and high, he ran a stop sign and killed a woman, she left two kids.

My parents never accepted it, they continue to believe he was set up, he wasn't drunk. The dead woman never had a chance to give her opinion. He is in jail and will be there for a long time. His life is ruined, the woman is dead, her kids lost their mother, our family carries the stigma.

Don't drink and drive isn't just a saying.

I have a younger cousin, got pregnant at fourteen, the father was fifteen. She got pregnant again at sixteen. She finally got a GED, the father is a worthless bum. He works selling telephones part time. He got another girl pregnant. Can't happen in your family, think again.

My husband and I are the custodians and guardians of her children. She's a bar waitress.

As a mother myself, I'm scared, worry all the time. I dream of my kids in college, not in the pen. I dream of weddings and baby showers, not judges and restraining orders.

I could not agree with you more.

I decided not to have children. At lot of the reasons you described were my reasons.

Kids these days have no clue how fast their life can change - in an instant - and its over.

For some decisions, there is no "DO OVER" or two more strikes.

This dumb ass (and the parents of the dumb ass) who keeps getting teenagers pregnant needs to have his dick sawed off.

One 10 minute fuck wrecked at least 5 lives.

Sorry about your brother - sounds like you have your act together.

Best of luck.
