It's Not A Path, Not A Journey. It's An End, Not A Beginning.

I never struggled with my identity. As a kid I blended in with the other kids my age. It wasn't until after puberty that I got bossy. My high school years were about grades, getting into college. Some kids were boy or girl chasers. I was a group social participant. I had real good male friends. But never dated.

In college it was about grades. I had a couple of male friends. As to girls, I got bossy. I had a reputation. A senior girl wanted to be my friend. But she wanted to kiss me, and she took my top off. I freaked out, I didn't know what was happening. Later when I was a junior a vet student moved in next door. She was older and was nice. She asked me to help clean her apartment. Sweaty proposition, she took her bra off. I stared at her, she let me look all I wanted. She then asked me to show her. Standing there topless with her she came close and gently touched me between my legs. She asked me if I liked that, and took my hand to touch her between her legs. That day I was naked in bed with another woman.

In my senior year, my last semester, a guy in my management class, touched me and forced himself on me. I had intercourse for the first time, and I became pregnant. I graduated 12 weeks pregnant, and returned home to tell my mother. She listened and said as she stood up to go to the kitchen, 'all babies are welcome no matter where they come from'. My secrets remained secrets. About the vet student, and about the father. As I got heavier and heavier my days were about her, not him.

With a baby, I had to work. Nothing was different. I had a guy friend, but when it came to girls I was bossy, I only got along with older women. But I was suffering, masturbating remembering my neighbor in college. I didn't so much question, as quiet acceptance. I called her, after two years and a baby. We talked but she was distant.

I met a man, older, divorced with two children. He was in a hurry, he wanted me as a woman. I was pressured by everybody, don't lose the opportunity. I got married a few months later, became pregnant immediately. I had a home, but I was empty. I called my girlfriend from college, come and get me. I told her I couldn't stop loving her.

I'm still married, two children, two step children, a husband. A woman's work is never done.
