Not Siblings But Life Long Sisters, In Marriage, Mothers, Together

Growing up our neighbors had a daughter my age. We played on the floor, we went to playschool, kindergarten, grade school, high school, and college together. We are 'sister' and are each other's keepers. In college I lost my virginity, unplanned and unwanted. She sacrificed herself to him. We moved in together and off campus, we moved in together after college. The 'guy' showed up at our apartment, he had heard we were living in town and came to see us. He established himself as the male overlord and kept us for him.

We are sixty two, have never lived apart since college, we've met our obligation to replace our place in the cosmos. We have been sister wives since our overlord moved in with us.

We know that our lives are an exception, but a good one. We have never been lonely, never walked around with no one to talk to, someone to share breakfast with, a man who kept us together.
